OnPoint Prep to offer Math Fundamentals for the SAT this Summer at Rutgers Prep School

Is your son or daughter struggling with SAT Math? Does he or she have test anxiety?

If so, this is the workshop that will help them gain a higher score on the SAT while working on proven strategies to reduce stress. The workshop will review and explore the math skills needed to be successful on the test while learning proven test strategies and the “tricks” needed for a higher score. The class size is limited to 8 students.   This will allow each student to receive individualized instruction and gain confidence in his or her abilities.   The workshop is intended for students that have successfully completed Algebra One and Geometry. Graphing Calculator is highly recommended for this course. Other Materials will be provided.

• Rates, Ratios,Proportions, and Percentages
• Scatterplots
• Two-Way Tables, Statistics and Probability
• Exponents, Radicals, Polynomials, and Rational Expressions
• Advanced Techniques for Polynomials and Rational Equations
• Functions and Function Notation
• Quadratic Equations and Their Graphs
• Imaginary Numbers
• Lines, Angles and Triangles
• Similarity, Congruence and Proofs
• Circumference and Areas of Circles
• 3-D Shapes
• Trigonometry
• Multi-Part Math Questions
• Grid in Questions
• Graphing Calculator Training and  Techniques

The course will meet for a total of six sessions from July 10, 2017 to July 20, 2017 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm for two weeks. The cost of the Course is $300, which includes book and materials.
